Location: Village of St. Paris, Ohio  

Position: Fiscal Officer- Full-Time

Pay: Negotiable- based on experience & qualifications

 

The Village of St. Paris is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fiscal Officer to manage the financial operations and ensure the fiscal integrity of our local government. This position requires strong financial acumen, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to serving our community.

 

Key Responsibilities:

– Oversee all financial transactions and maintain accurate fiscal records.

– Prepare and present the annual budget, financial reports, and audits.

– Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and compliance with regulations.

– Coordinate with village officials on financial planning and reporting.

– Ensure compliance with state and federal financial regulations.

– Serve as Council Clerk and attend all Council meetings

 

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.

– Previous experience in municipal finance or accounting is highly desirable.

– Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

– Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
